This week, Makerere University School of Public Health is hosting a webinar themed: Kampala Car-Free Day; Promoting Sustainability & Inclusivity in the City, on Thursday, 27th February 2025, to examine the initiative’s role in reducing pollution, promoting active mobility, & urban health.



Dr. Alex ndyabakira shares Kampala Capital City Authority (KCCA)'s vision for improving active mobility in Kampala including more pedestrian walk and cycle ways, non-motorised transport, and more car free days to achieve a cleaner, less polluted, and sustainable city.


Happening today is our Living Lab session Ras B Ssali from Fun Cycling UG has given a presentation on the #KampalaCyingDay.





The project team attended the Global Alliance for Chronic Diseases (GACD) ASM 2025 in Kigali. We were delighted to hear about the research in the Physical Activity space under the Healthy Cities projects and their different takes on implementation research.
