Chalk Figure Near Weymouth, Eric Ravilious, 1939. This equestrian figure was carved into Osmington Hill in 1808, near Weymouth in #Dorset to celebrate George III’s patronage of the seaside town. The original artwork is in the collection of National Gallery of Canada.



The Cerne Abbas Giant, Eric Ravilious, 1939. The original artwork is in a private collection. This amazing and important site in #Dorset is now in the care of the National Trust.







Must have missed the memo but sad to visit Towner Eastbourne today and discover not a single Ravilious is on display until a new gallery opens in September. The only thing are these small modern prints by the toilets!

Corn Stooks and Farmsteads, Eric Ravilious, 1935. It depicts Hill Farm, Capel-y-ffin, #Wales. The original artwork was sold at Christie's in 2018 and is now in a private collection.
