Talked about this work last week at ICTP in Trieste, Italy. Good discussions followed. This mathematical #model of calcium signalling in C. elegans thermosensory #neuron neatly captures experimentally observed response dynamics and the dependence on past temperatures. #worm

So happy to report this story on how receptor guanylyl cyclases in AFD neurons regulate heat shock response in C. elegans. We find that among the three gcys, gcy-18 and -23 are the key regulators. Very nice meticulous work carried out by Abhilasha Batra biorxiv.org/content/10.110…
