✈️أتوجه إلى بكين للمشاركة في النسخة الثانية من منتدى العمل الدولي من أجل التنمية المشتركة. خلال مشاركتي العام الماضي، وقعت مذكرة تفاهم بشأن مبادرة التنمية العالمية مع الصين. أتطلع إلى مناقشات بناءة حول التعاون بين بلدان الجنوب، والأدوات المبتكرة لتنفيذ أهداف التنمية المستدامة.

Congratulations my dear friend Heike Harmgart for your appointment as the 1st The EBRD MD for Sub-Saharan Africa as part of the bank's expansion. Together, we've had many successful development initiatives in #Egypt, as the bank's largest country of operations in the #SEMED region.

This week, I'm representing #Egypt🇪🇬 in the G20 Development Working Group at #G20Brazil Dev. Ministerial Meeting in Rio de Janeiro🇧🇷. Themed "Building a Just World & Sustainable Planet", discussions focus on investing in human capital, economic dev. & progress towards the #SDGs.

خلال الأسبوع الجاري، أُمثل مصر في الاجتماع الوزاري لـ«مجموعة عمل التنمية» ضمن #G20، في ريو دي جانيرو بالبرازيل، حيث نُناقش القضايا التنموية، وضرورة وضع آليات مُنصفة لتحقيق التنمية الاقتصادية ومواجهة التغيرات المناخية، فضلًا عن الارتقاء برأس المال البشري، من أجل تسريع تنفيذ #SDGs.

At the #G20Brazil Development Ministers meeting, I made the case to #InvestInRuralPeople to end poverty and inequality. I also spoke to International Fund for Agricultural Development champions Rania A. Al Mashat, Anne Beathe Tvinnereim and Reinette Klever. Deeper cooperation between the Global South and North is crucial.

✈️ Just landed in Cape Town, South Africa for the New Development Bank 9th Annual Meetings “Investing in a #Sustainable Future”, as the newly appointed Governor of the NDB for #Egypt. #Egypt joined the bank in March 2023 & our membership in the BRICS group was approved this year.

✈️كمحافظ مصر في New Development Bank، توجهتُ إلى جنوب أفريقيا، للمشاركة في الدورة التاسعة من الاجتماعات السنوية لمجلس محافظي البنك، التي تُعقد تحت عنوان: الاستثمار في مستقبل مستدام. حصلت #مصر على عضوية بنك التنمية الجديد في مارس ٢٠٢٣، وانضمت رسميًا لمجموعة البريكس في بداية هذا العام.
