I'm alive! Aside from being a wicked beast that curses anyone who attempts to reconstruct it, Dilophosaurus is also one of the earliest theropod apex predators, making it very important for our knowledge of dinosaur evolution during the early Jurassic.

I finally started watching Prehistoric Planet and these little sentient kites are doing their best so tiny. light as a feather. flying at like 5 hours old. highly competent. and yet head empty

It's Her again! I was commissioned to reconstruct Sue's skull based on the old, well-preserved ''Trix'' specimen. I took the opportunity to correct the perspective of the shoulders and hips and add articular cartilage to the limbs, ending up on a much leaner-looking silhouette.

Skeletal Reconstruction of the world’s grandest eagle, H. moorei, more commonly known as Haast’s Eagle. This is a fairly rigorous skeletal, and not a lot of material was reconstructed past the figured remains (most notably the neck) however- 🧡

Objectively the best dinosaur. Spinosaurus - or is it Sigilmassasaurus? is the most debated carnivorous dinosaur with more than two fingers, with its bizarre anatomy and disconcerting tendency to explode leaving paleontologists and enthusiasts alike struggling to catch up.

The real mystery spinosaur, Sigilmassasaurus has had a wild taxonomic history since its description in 1996, with different authors believing it to be a member of its own unique family, a distinct spinosaurid, a synonym of Spinosaurus or even a Carcharodontosaurus saharicus!

A highly versatile predator, Allosaurus was capable of tackling everything from stegosaurs to sauropods to other allosaurs. With some of the most complete individuals being riddled with healed -and unhealed- injuries, theirs was a very dangerous lifestyle, even for a theropod.

Merry Christmas! Fukuiraptor is one of the earliest known species of megaraptoran, having yet to evolve the famous elongated thumb claw. Remains of at least 14 individuals were found in the holotype quarry, which could be the first evidence of gregarious behavior in the group.

Don't ever try to reconstruct giganotosaurines, folks. I tried it once and barely escaped with my life. Anyway, here's Aerosteon. Although it tragically doesn't preserve the characteristic thumb claw, it's still one of the most complete and well-preserved megaraptorans.

The largest named megaraptorid (though not by much), Maip shows a more typical state of preservation for the group. Its presence confirms that megaraptorans held the apex predator niches in part of South America right up until the end of the Cretaceous.

After spending days/weeks working on a skeletal of your own, you can easily recognise when the creative liberties, unpublished material, or specific quirks you incorporated into your artwork have been used elsewhere. It’s frustrating because there’s not much you can do about it.
