There are stories in the Palestinian struggle that almost seem fictional, sacrifice & courage at lengths we only really see in our filtered history books. This was Abu Salah, a double-amputee from Gaza who resisted occupation until he was killed in spring this year.

There are literally no words to emphasise this horrific development, those who will have been responsible for reviving Assad in the Arab League are nothing but scoundrels. A bunch of unelected fossil leaders who have no regard for human life or dignity.

Sorry to ruin your gotcha moment, but If you're referring to the militias who were previously murdering civilians for opposing Assad, I STILL call them terrorists.

Even if the state delivers justice, I’ll remain ashamed of how many Syrians have tried to deflect or divert attention from the massacres in Syria’s coastal region. Many who were once vocal about every injustice now act dumb, betting on public amnesia. and then this happens:

To the Syrian activists and human rights defenders who haven’t given the atrocities in the coastal region the attention they deserve: these are critical moments, perhaps your last chance to get on the wagon and stand on the right side of history.

The Syrian state’s dismantling of a cultural statue in a main square in Aleppo has sparked controversy among Syrians. Personally, I have no issue with its removal. The only question is what will replace it? Will it be art or ideology?

AGREE, and by that standard the dictator’s palace should be removed, as it’s the most explicit reminder of the Assad dynasty. I wonder why that’s not even a topic? (This was the view I looked up at every morning, wasn’t exactly spirit-lifting.)

Instead of replacing it, Al-Sharaa occupied it, in a PR video of children playing there he said it'd be "an annual tradition" If we’re desecrating Assad’s symbols, why would anyone want children playing in front of the very structure he ordered the mass murder of Syrians from?

Saraya Ansar al-Sunna has claimed responsibility for setting fire to the Qastal forests in the Latakia countryside, saying the attack targeted Alawite homes in the area. The fires, the result of a deliberate act of terrorism, are spreading rapidly and remain out of control.

I find it extremely difficult to differentiate between the harm inflicted on children, whether in Gaza, Syria, or anywhere else in the world. And in order to drive my point more thoroughly, yes of course that includes Israel. I say this because today, in Syria, a dilemma seems to

Once someone learns to justify overlooking a crime for the sake of a "greater good," it's like putting the first crack in a sheet of glass. From that point on, it's all downhill, the cracks only spread, slowly at first, then faster with every new excuse, every new silence. The
