Our Adopt-A-Cop Officers have been busy instructing the 3rd graders in the East Ramapo School District and Suffern Central School District about Halloween safety.  We hope all residents of the Town of Ramapo have a very safe and fun Halloween!

🦇 🎃K9 Blue is on Halloween Paw-trol!🎃🦇 Our very own K9 Blue has taken to the streets tonight — keeping Ramapo safe from spooky ghouls and anyone trying to sneak away with extra candy 👻🍬🐾

Ramapo Police officers responded to Evergreen Cemetery in the Village of Airmont for a report of a falcon trapped in a tree, its legs caught and unable to break free. Tallman Fire Department was requested to the scene and provided assistance in safely freeing the bird.

🚨DWI ARREST 🚨 Around 6:30 PM tonight the Ramapo Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident on Spook Rock Rd near Route 202. The driver was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol.

🚨TRAFFIC ALERT🚨 Hemion Rd between Dunnigan Dr and Montebello Rd is currently closed due to an overturned dump truck that struck a utility pole. O&R is on scene addressing the damage to the pole. Please avoid the area while the tow company works to remove the dump truck.

Hemion Rd has been reopened.

PRESS RELEASE RPD is investigating a violent robbery and assault that occurred on East Hickory Street in the Hillcrest area of the Town of Ramapo. Anyone with information about the suspect or the robbery is urged to contact RPD’s Investigations Division at 845-357-2400.
