It's the 20th of April, so time to start tweeting the #CSIRO #Graincast wheat yield forecasts for 2021! We've added a few bells and whistles for this season: maps of soil water, water-limited yield forecast (see map) and their uncertainty as well as state specific forecasts.

Our CSIRO #Graincast forecast of the national wheat harvest is based on data up to 1 July 2021. The median forecast is for 2.27 t/ha with a 95% chance of exceeding the 15 year average of 1.79 t/ha. For more details and state by state forecasts see research.csiro.au/graincast/whea…
