The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is implementing an online e-Procurement system to increase transparency and accountability in public procurement and contract awards.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Public Procurement Regulatory Authority developed the system with support from USAID, and it aims to improve governance. Recently, the system underwent a pilot project/test run at the Chief Secretary Office in Peshawar.

Today, the Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary, chaired a meeting to review the e-Procurement system's progress.

The CS KP, Nadeem Aslam Chaudhary, was given a detailed briefing on the progress of the under-construction Mohmand dam, which will generate 800 MW of power and has a command area of 18,233 acres. The project will also provide Peshawar with 300 million gallons of water per day.
