1/ Seoul Queer Culture Festival's main event/parade will take place on 14 June. Every year since 2017, South Korea's human rights commission has set up booths promoting equality. This year, they've withdrawn completely, deeming it "inappropriate" to support only one side.

2/ The human rights commission states it would be "inappropriate" to participate in one event over another (the Christians) with "different positions." They're essentially saying LGBTQ rights advocacy has an equal footing to hate protests.

5/ In response, concerned human rights commission employees have formed a volunteer "Human Rights Commission Ally Group" that will participate with a booth at Seoul Pride, continuing the spirit of human rights advocacy despite their institution's official withdrawal.
