I was clueless about the meta tags needed for social previews in Twitter, Facebook, Slack, etc. Thanks Justin Jackson for recommending metatags.io. Such an awesome tool! Now railsautoscale.com will be beautiful everywhere you share it. 😉

🚀 Sidekiq autoscaling is officially LAUNCHED! This is my biggest release since going live in the Heroku add-on marketplace in 2017. A huge thanks to all my beta testers who helped me shape and harden it to what it is today. ❤️ railsautoscale.com/autoscaling-si…

Rough morning at Heroku. status.heroku.com/incidents/1892 Rails Autoscale is currently down, and there's literally nothing I can do but wait. 😞

Rails Autoscale is back online as of 2pm EDT. Heroku incident is ongoing, but I think we're in the clear for now. status.heroku.com/incidents/1892

Currently investigating a large worker backlog. This is causing a lag of up to 15 minutes in data processing. Autoscaling has been paused.

🤯 An outlier for sure, but this screenshot is a real customer. This is what autoscaling a *whole lot* of Heroku Perf-L dynos looks like.

Rails Autoscale is back up now after an incident that prevented processing new metrics for several hours. This kind of outage is unacceptable, and I'm investigating both the root cause and why the alerting failed. Please email me with any questions - [email protected].

This is not an outlier—these kinds of savings (and much more!) are quite common. If you're not autoscaling your Rails app on Heroku, you're paying for a lot of resources you don't need.

The Heroku API is currently down, preventing Rails Autoscale from scaling any customer apps. I'm keeping an eye on it and will report back with an update. status.heroku.com/incidents/2173

Just launched the FREE plan for Rails Autoscale. railsautoscale.com/free-autoscali… Every Rails app on Heroku should have a safety net in place, and now they can.

We've been using Rails Autoscale on SwimTopia to scale our web and worker instances. We have extremely seasonal and spikey traffic and we've been very happy. It was easy to setup, it "just works", and has saved us a ton of 💰💰. Recommended.

Incident: Judoscale (formerly Rails Autoscale) is currently unable to process new data due to an issue with our database provider. Autoscaling is temporarily offline. I'll follow up as soon as I have an update.

📣 Rails Autoscale is now GA on Heroku! Thanks so much to my beta customers for their valuable feedback. elements.heroku.com/addons/rails-a… I celebrated by redesigning the app with Tailwind CSS. 😀
