Cole Hocker’s dad yelling “WHAT THE FUCK” like Tom DeLonge in the Fist Date music video when his son upset everyone for the 1500m gold medal

Cyrena Samba-Mayela moved to Florida to work with John Coghlan last year as a 12.68 athlete. She's now a 12.31 athlete, European champ & Olympic silver medallist. It's wild that someone with his skills couldn't earn a living coaching athletics in Ireland irishexaminer.com/sport/otherspo…

When I sent this email to Enda Fitz about a potential new DCU recruit in 2016 called Sophie Becker, little did I know what we were getting into (& that she was actually from Wexford) Eight years later, she has done alright.

The dust has yet to settle on #Paris2024    but I think Jeremy Lyons Jeremy Lyons should be in the running for coach of the year. A quiet man, who has been the driving force behind relays in the country. As long as I've known Jeremy he has promoting relays

4th IN THE OLYMPIC FINAL🥲💔 Bittersweet and agonisingly close to a medal, but a performance we will forever be proud of💚 We shattered the national record for the 3rd time this year, with 3.19.90…A time quick enough to win a silver medal in every Olympic final apart from 1988

It goes completely under the radar how much this helps us as athletes. Whether its the ability to go on a training camp, fly to a competition to try qualify for OLY, or pay for physio throughout the year to keep us healthy. Jerry Kiernan Foundation is what gets most of us through the year.

The Team Ireland House was phenomenal at the Olympics. Not many places you find yourself arguing with the bouncer to get S. Grant Holloway, OLY into the club, spend the night on a packed dance floor, then end up chatting to Mundy at the end of the night about French food.

These past three weeks have been a whirlwind of emotions, but I’m proud to finally call myself an Olympian. Despite all the challenges this year, I kept pushing forward. While the future remains uncertain, I know I have the power to shape it. I’ll see you all soon. #olympics

Tears of joy for Sean Aigboboh who clocks 10.55 to reach the World U20 100m semi-finals. What's behind the rise in Irish athletics? "A big part of it is Rhasidat, Israel, the mixed 4x4, women’s 4x4, they’re pushing the sport into the limelight. Everyone wants to join the sport"

The progression in the 400m in Ireland just gets better. For context, in 2018 I was on an Irish u20 Relay Team that made an attempt to qualify for World u20. We ran 3.22 Those lads would be finished as we came into the home straight.

Tough to summarise what Jeremy Lyons has done for coaching in 🇮🇪 as he announces his exit from the snr coaching end. Thankfully his legacy will live on via Dublin Sprint, a disrupter who created positive change and one of the key pillars behind the recent 400m revolution 🫡
