This day in Rock history: The Beatles released two greatest hits albums - 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟮-𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟲 and 𝟭𝟵𝟲𝟳-𝟭𝟵𝟳𝟬 in 1973. The former has been dubbed the "red" album and the latter the "blue" album due to their distinct color differences.

This day in Rock history: Richard Manuel, pianist and vocalist for The Band, was born in Stratford, Ontario in 1943. He was one of three lead singers and is featured in songs such as "Share Your Love With Me" & "The Shape I'm In" but sadly took his own life at 42 on 3/4/1986.

This day in Blues history: Guitarist Muddy Waters was born in Issaquena County, MS in 1915. From 1977 to 1981 blues musician Johnny Winter, who idolized Waters growing up, produced four of his albums, three of which won Grammys. Waters died in his sleep at 70 on 4/30/1983.

This day in Rock history: Guitarist Gary Moore was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland in 1952. Prior to going solo, which produced the Rock hit "Still Got The Blues (For You)" in 1990, he was with Thin Lizzy between 1974-79. Moore died of a heart attack at 58 on 2/6/2011.
