In the past month, DEEP Fisheries Division has received and investigated numerous calls of sightings of dead fish along the CT shoreline from Darien to New London. These incidents, known as fish kills, involve a species of fish called Atlantic Menhaden, also known as “bunker.”

Imagine a day without water. As you move through the rest of your day, take a moment to think about how different life would be if water didn't flow from your fixtures and you had to dispose of all your own waste.
