Working on a new story for The Guardian and I realised (realized) that I now actually write in an Australian voice. Like in my head, the words have an Australian accent. This is so weird! I don't speak with an accent, most of the time.

Just heard that the Adelaide Writers' Week event with m. gessen has been cancelled. I *really* hope the Aus govt hasn’t been giving M visa difficulties again. So embarrassing that entire saga.
