I’ve been at the point for a while, but that Dutton interview just highlights that most political TV interviews are pointless. You don’t come away more informed, it’s just a battle to get away from misinformation and talking points. And it’s a rush all the way.

'Crikey contacted van Onselen about why he took the job, whether he was looking to improve Daily Mail Australia’s coverage, and whether there had been any conversations with Daily Mail Australia as to whether he does indeed have 'the kiss of death'.'

'Asked whether recent evidence at the Lehrmann defamation trial represented an ongoing cultural problem for Seven, Stokes jr gave a silent, knowing smile, before being whisked away in a silver BMW M5 (they retail for about $250,000).'

'Unlike her chief of staff Fiona Brown, who did give evidence and was expressly praised by the judge, Senator Reynolds did not give evidence in the defamation case.'

A timely Samantha Maiden reminder of the inconsistencies in Linda Reynolds' story.
