Thank you Stephen Berg of NZ Rugby Museum for showing us the most (we must begrudgingly admit!) famous whistle in Rugby history. The entire museum is incredible (including a match day programme from Springboks vs Cavaliers in Durban at which Ron Rutland 🇿🇦 was a 12 year old usher!).
Cheers to 200 days on the road. 16,000km, 11 countries, & a lifetime of memories. Haven't lost the whistle, raised some money for ChildFund Rugby. A pretty satisfying few months. See you in 9 days and a few mins Rugby World Cup and Maggie Cogger-Orr...we have a delivery for you!
T-minus 6 days until we deliver the official Rugby World Cup whistle over at Eden Park. What a great time we have had in New Zealand so far - and again, what amazing people we have been able to meet. If you are able to, please donate to ChildFund Rugby - link is in our bio.
7️⃣ months have passed since Sakura Fifteen wished the Race To Rugby World Cup 2021 team good luck in their journey to New Zealand with the #RWC2021 match whistle Ai Hirayama was impressed by the efforts of not just Ron and Adam, but also their indestructible bikes 🚴♂️💨
THEN and NOW; from Tokyo To Whangarei! 206 days later and what a reunion with our favourite Japan Rugby #Sakura15 legends!!! The excitement of Rugby World Cup is now very real...could not be more pumped for the 5 weeks ahead.

Here is our Fiji wrap up! What a cool time we had here - it feels like forever ago right now but amazing nonetheless. While there is a bit of a lull in our posting, we are working hard behind the scenes in preparation for our journey to Rugby World Cup 2023 in Paris!
A fair amount of emotion last night: after 16 seasons, 219 episodes, 22 countries and over 600 guests, the The Dan Nicholl Show with BrightRock comes to an end. Four good friends to end the journey with: farewell show premieres 8pm Thursday on SuperSport 🏆. Life changing journey.
Terribly useless start on the social media front for #RaceToRWC2023, but delighted to confirm I'm still alive after 27 days on the road, and have had the most whirlwind and wild adventure through New Zealand, Chile, Argentina and now Uruguay so far. Rugby World Cup France 2023 here I come!
Ron Rutland 🇿🇦 is already back on the road to deliver the opening game’s whistle for the Rugby World Cup France 2023 on September 08 in Paris. We’re cheering from the sidelines as Ron travels the 22,000km to support ChildFund Rugby! childfund.org.au/stories/from-t…
Thanks for the support Dan Nicholl Hopefully we cross paths somewhere near the Big Apple 😉
