Designing AI products is hard because there's an order of magnitude more "edge cases" to reason about in fact, it feels almost like there are *only* edge cases

Underrated benefit of Effect: code review is so much easier. I can mentally skip over all the plumbing, and can just read the business logic.

Outer Wilds (the best video game ever made) is on sale on Steam for $15. Please play this game. Takes about 20 hours to finish. The less you know going in the better.

Solving problems in the right order is really important. It's more crucial than "just doing things". You can just do things as long as you figure out the order that will make the process as fail proof and easy as possible.

Either you can design systems or you can’t. If you can’t don’t expect to succeed in any engineering roles. If you can learn to let go of language debates. Literally doesn’t matter they’re just tools. You need to learn the tools in abstract, not memorize npm commands.

Based on the reactions every time a new iOS beta drops I feel like Apple should just put placeholder UI on betas until the final release. The average person (even devs) puts too much weight on UI opinions that cloud their ability to look at the functionality. Design takes time
