The disability benefits for housing in BC are a disgrace. The shelter allowance is only $375 for a person and $570 for a couple. But the average rent in BC is over $1,500 for a one-bedroom apartment.

Most of our MPs didn't own rental properties, or second homes... until they won election, then had the means to afford them.

The ODSP/Ontario Works benefits are a disgrace. The shelter allowance is only $497 for a single recipient and $781 for two people.

Average rent in Ontario is over $1,500 for a one-bedroom apartment.

If he thinks that's sufficient, Doug Ford should try to survive on that. 🏠

The Toronto rent bank is a joke. It only provides grants up to $4,000 or three months’ rent, whichever is lower. But average rent in Toronto is over $2,000 for a one-bedroom apartment.

This is why you see homelessness skyrocketing in Toronto. 📈
