My favorite change in House of the Dragon is Hugh Hammer being Saera’s son. His claiming Vermithor becomes a conclusion to her and Jaehaerys’ arcs, as the Old King clearly regretted exiling his daughter in his last days. Vermithor accepts Hugh where Jaehaerys didn’t accept Saera.
