So much of the language used to justify school closures in Ontario was built upon phrases like "vectors of transmission." Which is kind of scary, when you pause to consider that this is children they were talking about.

How many of the "TV docs" in Ontario who defended lockdowns have anyone in their immediate social circle who was directly affected by closures? i.e., restaurant servers, employees of small businesses, hair stylists, etc.

As @westernu finally removes the last vestiges of its masking mandate, let's remember one important lesson: Never again. Ontario: We must never again close classroom for months on end and we mustn't punish children or young adults for our worries.

It's beyond time. Anyone who wonders what classroom masking at @westernu looked like should look at the article photo. Unfortunately, some profs *did* try enforcing the mandate, which created unneeded tension among students. Ageism and classism.
