We were delighted to welcome Aerodrome Primary Aerodrome Primary for a visit to the Old Library and to Queens’ yesterday, for the first time since the pandemic! The students explored the history of the college and its collections, and had a think about university. 📖👑

We are looking forward to welcoming IAML 2023 to Cambridge next week! 🎶The Old Library will be open every afternoon to conference-goers and members of the public, for a special showcase of medieval and Renaissance musical treasures. Entry is via the Porter's Lodge.

⚡️Eighteenth-century visions of electricity! ⚡️This engraving is taken from Abraham Bennet's 'New Experiments', published in 1789. It contains fascinating diagrams of potential electroscopes, and speculations about lightning, clouds, and the aurora borealis. (1/3)
