RIP Lee Tamahori. So much has been said about his contribution to Bond, but he gave the series a genuinely grand flourish for its 40th birthday and his filmography is a unique combination of era-defining, groundbreaking New Zealand cinema and Hollywood productions.

30 years. This makes me feel old. In many ways, this is the one that solidified the character and the series for my generation. I loved Dalton, he was my first 007, and I loved the older films, but Goldeneye was the first that truly felt like it belonged to us. #JamesBond

He wasvery good in the first season of The Capture. He also has a classical look to him which is also a plus. So, yeah. Not the worst idea in the world. Still taking these sorts of stories though with a grain of salt until proven otherwise.
