Lots of bird song this morning on Ex Dawn Chorus. Now the cadets are up, fed, and back to training. Thanks to Black Country Cavalry for assistance and bringing some fancy kit to look at!

Arrived with Holly Lodge CCF for annual camp. Cadets settled in, unpacked, fed and now starting some evening training. All preped ready for adaptions over next few days in the heat, but it's a relief to be here at last after postponing twice due to covid!

Holly Lodge CCF and QMGS CCF summer camp 2022 at Holcombe Moor. 100+ cadets will be tested this week with cadet activities and by the weather! Ice breakers done, kit issued, everyone fed. WHTs to finish off now.

Another day of adapted activities at Holcombe Moor 2022. Holly Lodge CCF and QMGS CCF cadets took part in another ,22 range, expedition preparation, harbour drills and 'Gold Standard' model building. Exercise starts tonight!

What was on offer today at Holcombe Moor 2022 for Holly Lodge CCF and QMGS CCF? Long Range shoot, Section Attack and a 10k exercise. Finish off the day with everyone's favourite...weapon cleaning!

Being part of QMGS CCF has always been a highlight of‘The QM Experience’ for students & staff!Our Pastoral Team(Assistant Heads;Mr Brown & Mr Collins,HOY 7,HOY 8,HOY 10)were all suited & booted in their military gear,ready for action for CCF Field-day with new & existing cadets🫡

After a wet start to the day, it turned into a nice afternoon for Leadership, signals and some air rifle shooting with y9 cadets. Was interesting to reflect how this group haven't been to Farchynys in y7 due to COVID. QMGS QMA
