They can be called mindless entertainment only for those who can identify the problem while watching it but in our society where awareness is already low you can not be irresponsible with the content .

Animal or DT dramas will be entertainers in more sane societies but in these cultures ,they are going to influence subconsciously. A person who does not have an insight of what exactly is wrong how do you expect them to not get influenced.
