Proud to tell our Duke-NUS Medical School medical students that the first tumor suppressor gene identified/cloned was lethal (2) giant larvae (lgl) in Drosophila, rather than Retinoblastoma. Keep educating future medical doctors and researchers about the value of using Drosophila models.
