Has Uniswap lost the plot and become part of TradFi? The Uniswap interface censors many users so I deployed a fork of the UI without censorship on IPFS. I found out that Uniswap has been sending takedown notices to IPFS gateways demanding they take it down. 🧵 1/3

Hayden Adams 🦄 This isn't entirely true. Ethereum Foundation has the TM on Ethereum but they have been quite good about only using it to deal with scammers and not to try to attack things like Ethereum Classic or any of the other "TM violations" that happen every day but are not scams.

Brief follow-up on this: Hayden Adams 🦄 put me in contact with someone inside of Uniswap Labs 🦄 to get to the bottom of the issue. Unfortunately, my takeaway from that dialog was that they don't believe they took any inappropriate actions and that they would do the same again. 🧵 1/5

Regarding the ParaSwap hack today: TL;DR: Part of the root cause is Solidity "gas golfing". ParaSwap v6 contracts are heavily gas optimised, written in assembly. Gas golfing is dangerous. For security, it's important for the smart contracts source code to "be easy to reason

Not trying to be trolly but I think the upshot of this is that Ethereum does not currently have a scaling roadmap. We have what we thought was a scaling roadmap, but it turned out to be a plan for different kind of system where you also trust a governance DAO or something

Dankrad Feist My view of the state of affairs: - MEV was an attack on Ethereum. Instead of working against it, we shared the proceeds with enough people to shut the majority up. Problem made not-a-problem. - Liquid staking was an attack on Ethereum. Instead of solving it, we promoted many

If one wants to write privacy preserving zero knowledge proofs using some nice language, is Circom still the way to go or do we have others? Recursive proofs would be nice too 🙂

❤️ Great article! Also love the idea of writing articles in hackathon. This one dive into the problem of world discovery while preserving secrecy in public networks. We are getting slowly closer to replicate all the properties of our material world.

Is there a cryptographic primitive to: 1) Allow multiple people with real info about a variable and others without it. 2) Combine the information to extract the variable's value if valid, or garbage otherwise. 3) Ensure I cannot distinguish between the correct value and garbage.

Is the talk question data at Devconnect ARG public? Eg, which questions were asked for each talk and the votes for them? This would be a good data to gauge on how interesting the audience found the talk.

I think we should avoid raising gas limit unless absolutely necessary. The easier it is to run a local node for regular users the better. Having your own node greatly increases privacy and avoids censorship at least when reading the state and broadcasting your tx.
