This is one of the reasons why we built Liana. It's still not the most mainstream wallet, but it solves so many problems that would otherwise cost users all their coins...

We hear this a lot And it’s one of the reasons Liana exists. With Liana, you can still be the “Safety Net” if someone loses access. But they manage their own keys and learn real self-custody. It’s how you support them, without having to carry all the responsibility. 🛠️🧭

On August 10, Vinteum turned 3 years old 🎉 To celebrate, we put together a 50-page report (available in English and Portuguese) covering everything we have accomplished so far, from developer contributions to education and community building in Brazil’s Bitcoin ecosystem 🧵👇

The dynamics of approving this PR are quite interesting. It seems multiple core-devs are not happy with 0.1sat/vbyte summer. However, they begrudgingly accept reality and merge it in core. This looks healthy and proofs node runners have power.

shire I probably be running core 30 and optionally a patch for preferential peering, if someone writes one. There are strong, maybe stronger arguments that miner centralization risk is a bigger risk than JPEG spam, which can't really be stopped anyway. As the wide array of people

name 1 respected Bitcoin developer who advocates for Knots. someone who didn't lose 300 BTC on a server hot wallet (wtf?!) and then called the FBI on all core devs. I'll wait.

The overwhelming majority agrees that a node implementation should never be able to force an update on you. Ironic that version expiry is a thing in knots, though😵‍💫

LaurentMT one's node having advanced knowledge of stuff they don't like but that has a good chance of appearing in a block seems like useful information even if one isn't willing to share that information with other nodes on ideological grounds
