These activities are being offered as part of the Get Active Together programme during the summer holidays. Some spaces remain for young people with disabilities and additional needs. Multi sports, paddleboarding, kayaking and roller skating sessions in Bridgwater and Taunton.

The “Come Dine With Me” group cooked a roast dinner and strawberry cheesecakes. Many thanks to Mrs Kerr & Ms Smith for their help planning, shopping, setting up, supporting and clearing away afterwards! Also a big thank you to Mrs Batchelor who stepped up to become Food Teacher.

We celebrated the end of the academic year with a whole school assembly. There were various awards, including those given by the Heads of Year and the Head Teacher. We also celebrated students who took part in DofE this year, subject awards for KS3 & KS4 and new school prefects.

We've been sent a picture of one of the planters a student made during the gardening day of Activities Week, looks like it is thriving - well done! Also, a bug hotel tucked in a border.

We are very proud of our former students at Richard Huish College, who did do so well in their A Level and BTEC results today. Special mention goes to Alex Bulloso, who got A*s in Maths, Further Maths, Biology, Chemistry and EPQ. He will be studying medicine at Cambridge University

Year 11 GCSE and vocational results can be collected from school at 9.30am on Thursday 22nd August. Staff will be on hand to celebrate and support. Good luck everyone!

Congratulations to former student Joshua Naish, who achieved three distinction stars in his BTEC at Richard Huish College. He will be off to Portsmouth Uni to study film production.

There were smiles all round this morning as students collected their GCSE results. Stand out achievements included George Mann: eight GCSEs at grade 9, one grade 8 and an ‘A’ in Further Maths. Alexis Bulluso: four 9s and five 8s. Alen Raju: four grade 9s and three grade 8s.

Breakfast club will start the week beginning Monday 9th September. Times will be from 8.20am – 8.50am, this is for free school meal students only.

Congratulations to Alexis, George and Alfie who have achieved their Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award. This is a fantastic milestone, which involved volunteering for six months, two physical and skills sections and a three day expedition. Well done to all.

The start of term has really seen Year 11 hit the ground running! They began this week with with a post-16 futures talk and careers fair at Pyrland. #thepyrlandway
