Supporting victims - whether adults or children - in the time when they are most vulnerable and need help is a core priority for my office and is contained within my police and crime plan.

I’m asking our communities at every opportunity to share intelligence with the police and our partner agencies so we can effectively target drug gangs which ruin the lives of young people and some of our most vulnerable residents.

We're all too aware that any driver who is distracted has the potential to cause fatal consequences

Operations like this allow Wiltshire Police and partner agencies to take these drivers off the road and take action against them to improve their behaviour

I’d like to thank every group for their interest in my Community Action Fund and for the great work they all do whether that be protecting young or vulnerable people, offering diversionary activities and pathways or providing a space within communities.

After actively lobbying the government for fairer funding, I welcome this announcement from the Home Office.

This hotspot funding will make a positive difference in those areas most susceptible to antisocial behaviour and our communities will be safer as a result.

Seeing officers out like this doesn't only give them the opportunity to create a visible presence, but also allows them to collect vital community led intelligence.

The introduction of two more mobile police vehicles will increase visibility across Wiltshire and Swindon.

Delivering a police service which meets the needs of its communities has never been more important - or challenging.

I know residents will want greater public engagement with officers, more public access and an increased officer presence at community level.
