As I went on a gravel ride here in SD earlier today on a fairly busy road, I had time to reflect on recent incidents involving cycling fatalities close to and not close to home. If I am killed by a vehicle while riding, I will not rest in peace, I will rest in rage.

Today has been the only day on my vacation where someone from either of my workplaces has not tried contacting me. Whether I chose to respond or not is irrelevant. It shouldn’t be this way but this where it’s at. I don’t see a change to this coming anytime soon. Sigh

Death, is an unfortunate part of working in healthcare. A little more exposure to it in my position. Having 3 deaths in my personal circle this past 2 weeks has been quite the kick to the nuts. I’m thankful for loving family and their support but it is still hard.

Watching the debate is like watching a toddler arguing with his preschool teacher after being caught stealing another kids toy. So much whatsboutism and make believe. Hard to watch but hard to look away.

I hope that the film “The long walk” based on the Stephen King novel being filmed in in MB shows Mark Hamill how beautiful our province is. I think that our province doesn’t get enough love as a destination sometimes and we have a lot of cool stuff here.

This is not what I need while trying to take nap before my night shift in Wpg tonight.

After a long day at work, KD and chicken nuggets really hit the spot.

Highway 3 & 14 at 6:20 am this morning. Red light comes up going east, so a car, instead of stopping, takes the off ramp heading south behind me, crosses the road, turns back north into the on ramp heading east. All this to avoid stopping for 30 sec. Make it make sense.
