#DidYouKnow water that is used for people can be cleaned again for #plants, parks and agricultural uses? πŸ‘©β€πŸŒΎπŸŒΏπŸŒ·πŸŒΈπŸž In the Pajaro Valley, recycled water is used to irrigate coastal farmland, replacing the need to pump groundwater, it has been treated and is safe to use on crops.

It takes a lot of power to clean #water β€” 480 volts to be exact! πŸ“· This picture was taken a few years ago, when we were testing alternative ways to take sediment out of water. Overall, water use statewide uses 20% of all energy use in California.

#FactFriday What are turnouts?πŸ€” PV Water uses turnouts to transfer supplemental water to farmers' irrigation systems. The turnout is where the irrigators/farmers connect their irrigation pipes to PV Water's Coastal Distribution system!
