Took my SSDs out of my (destroyed) pc, cleaned them and plugged em into wife's laptop. They still work perfectly fine, thank goodness. For now, need to focus on insurance things and other priorities...

An update; We've been staying a hotel for a bit and insurance has been paying for our stay. Soon, we should be leaving this hotel for some temporary housing while our house is being demolished and eventually rebuilt. Haven't been posting because I've been super stressed, sorry!

We're now out of the hotel, staying in a temporary house till the repairs are done! Might be here for 4 to 6 months. I'm considering buying a cheap, decent laptop to use for now so I can get back to art. My old pc was over $2500 in parts so I'm not rebuilding that anytime soon.

Got our house quote from insurance. Looking to use that money to buy a new house instead of repairing the burned one. Already have a house tour scheduled for Sunday. Still waiting for the quote regarding our destroyed personal items though, that's taking forever...
