The more I think about it, I think The Matte Kudasai might be in my top 5 stands in the series. It's just so weird and creative, I'm excited to see what gets done with it.

So I just rewatched Holes last night, and... Is it just Araki's favorite movie of all time? Donatello's backstory directly references it, the "Devil's Palm" feels like a parallel to "God's Thumb", and JJL's whole story revolves around a paternal family curse. Are there more???

Btw I was like, *this* close to making my SBR ED "Jesus, Etc." by Wilco instead of "I'll be Lucky Someday", and if I had to put money on what they'll actually use for the adaptation, it'd probably be that.

I really wish people were smart enough to recognize that animators need to draw the characters not once, but like 100,000x, all very very consistently. "Here's my comparison between a drawing that's on screen for 0.1 seconds and my rendering that took three hours" like stfu
