Number 6 in our A-Z of #Neuroscience. Brain Banks are invaluable sources of material for medical research. (No one wants to pay in too soon😀) Donation of post-mortem brains from patients with medical conditions is enormously helpful for research groups. More:

The NeuroRF A-Z of #Neuroscience continues: Busy Brains. It is a myth that humans only use 10 per cent of our brain. We actually use all of it. We’re even using more than 10 per cent when we sleep. Come and check out our fascinating '101 Things You Didn't Know':

It's the A-Z of #Neuroscience: 8 - Brain Death is the permanent loss of brain activity. People can't breathe or maintain vital functions and they permanently lose all awareness and capacity for thought. No treatment can help a person who is brain dead. bit.ly/4ffQGTq

The Neurosciences Foundation's two cycling superheroes Prof Dave Wyper and Kevin Gerrie are back in the saddle, peddling across Spain from Santander to Barcelona! That's 500 miles and climbing 30,000 feet. They've made it to Bilbao. Please support us... bit.ly/3Tu1d48

Our brave cycling duo of Prof Dave and Kevin who are cycling the 500 miles from Santander to Barcelona are doing fine. Past the Bilbao Guggenheim and deep into the Basque country. Nice countryside, nice people and considerate drivers! Support welcome! bit.ly/3Tu1d48

The cycling maestros Dave and Kevin have endured a Category 1 climb...on the road from San Sebastian to Pamplona. Dave says it's hard to focus on the unforgiving road when the scenery is so majestic. The goal is Barcelona. #neuroscience Please support us - bit.ly/3Tu1d48

Prof Dave and Kevin have completed the latest leg of their Santander to Barcelona 'mega-cycle': Ejea do los Caballos to Lleida. Dave says: 'Most of us have never cycled 116 miles before.' (He did 119 after a slight detour! 😱) Please show your support! neurosciencesfoundation.org.uk

We're so proud of Prof Dave Wyper and Kevin Gerrie who have arrived in Barcelona after their tough 500 mile cycle ride from Santander. Dave paid tribute to ALL the riders: 'A sigh of relief when we reached our hotel! ' #neuroscience Please support us - bit.ly/47vxNZn

Prof Dave Wyper has been paying tribute to Sport Ecosse Events who organised this week's superlative cycle ride from Santander to Barcelona. 'It was tough. But maybe that will make it more memorable. Physical activity heightens the senses.' #neuroscience bit.ly/47vxNZn

Next in our FABULOUS A-Z of #Neuroscience: C is for The Circle of Willis, a 'ring road' of brain arteries – the M8 and Route 66. If blood flow is restricted one way it can take the other route. Sadly, around 85 percent of bleeding in the brain occurs here. bit.ly/4ffQGTq

#cerebralpalsy and our A-Z of #Neuroscience: CP is a life-long neurological disorder. It causes issues with normal motor function. It affects how the brain and muscles communicate. This is caused by damage to, or abnormal development of, some brain areas. bit.ly/4ffQGTq

Deans Civil Engineer have just held their 'Beat the Pro' #golf event at Trump Turnberry raising £800 for The Neurosciences Foundation. Well done & thank you so much! PGA professional Paul McKechnie took on 40 golfers: two winners on the day. Such generosity helps tackle brain illness.

If you want to see Michelle Mone kicked out of the House of Lords and arrested until she pays the £232,000,000 she owes give this a RT. If you want Rishi Sunak's involvement in the £14,900,000,000 PPE Fraud he covered up investigated, LIKE.

My wife ordered something from The White Company. First delivery didn't arrive and appeared to have gone for delivery, turned round and got sent back. Now 2nd attempt has been delivered ... but to WRONG address. God knows where. Can we speak to anyone at White Company? NO! Crap!

Minor point of order, if it's OK, Mike McGrath. The legendary Elton Welsby and devotee of Everton started at City's original plush studios in Stanley Street. I say plush because I was at the slummy BBC Merseyside in Sir Thomas St. Lovely feature - big nostalgia. #COYB 💙
