•Fear of cancer recurrence (#FCR) is *normal* and incredibly common. •For some it leads to excessive #worry and #symptom monitoring, and significantly interrupts their lives. •Importantly, for many people the FCR doesn’t go away - it #persists over time. #IPOS2019

So happy to see well designed interventions targeting #FCR successfully presented IPOS. All the more exciting to present a #nullfinding trial at the beginning of the #IPOS2019 congress. You’ll find me at Kinnearcentre Galleria-Level 3 today. 1/15

Thank you #IPOS2019 for the opportunity to present my research on #symptom perception in #AYAcancer survivors today. My first #betterposter design was seemingly a success :)

Ever wonder if psychosocial interventions are cost effective or how to 'sell' them to decision-makers? Come to our #FCR #FearofCancerRecurrence symposium today at 9:45 to find out more. Dream research team Dr. Nadine Kasparian Judith prins Louise Sharpe Josée Savard

Next speaker is judith.b.prins 🇳🇱 about cost-effectiveness of the SWORD #FCR blended intervention. Selected with cancer worry scale >-14. 42% had clinical significant change compared to 10% in control CAU. #IPOS2019

With 80% likelihood it is cost-effective. More analysis including both medical and non medical costs (loss of positivity e.g.) and included costs of therapist and online platform licenses. They used most conservative willing to pay threshold (20.000€). #IPOS2019

62-95% probability that BCBT is more cost effective than the threshold of willingness to pay. But we could not conclude that BCBT is more cost effective than CAU. When implemented in clinical care or will probably become more cost effective. #IPOS2019

A great initiative by Dr. Custers to better define fear of progression in the growing population of patients with advanced cancer #IPOS2019 #FCR

The situation is NOT improving for indigenous people, with increasing disparities in survival between indigenous and nonindigenous Australians. #IPOS2019
