E-bike motors shouldn't be able to propel a bike faster than 15.5mph & must not exceed a power output of 250 watts. E-scooters are not permitted on public roads, pavements or other public spaces. They can only be used on private land with the landowner's consent. #IsItWorthIt

As part of a road safety day of action, local officers carried out e-bike checks in Giffnock and engaged positively with riders. Some other e-bikes are being modified to exceed speed and power limits, which can reclassify them under motorcycle legislation. #IsItWorthIt
