For the longest time I thought Pilates was named after Pontius Pilate because it resulted in pain that was akin to being crucified.

Cycled up Essex Road after work today. No cars going in my direction. Do we give up too much space for car roadways? Maybe since it’s clearly a niche mode of transport (as evidenced by this one snapshot) we should just pedestrianise the whole of it.
