The Fisheries Techniques class wrapped up their survey of the small-bodied fishes of Simkins Pond, a 2-acre kettle on the PSC property. Data was collected from 812 fish across seven species. Great day for field work!

Over the last two days, students in the Fisheries Techniques class completed their fish survey of Lower St. Regis Lake. Data was collected on over 200 fish from nine different species. This annual project has been occuring for the last 19 years!!

The Ecology class completed four weeks of fieldwork on the abundance and distribution of salamanders at the VIC. Data was collected on over 400 salamanders from six different species. The long-term monitoring project is now in its fifth year.
