As I’ve studied tenant unions for the last 4 years, I’ve gotten my fair share of blank stares from other scholars who wonder about the value of the work. This Tressie McMillan Cottom piece captures some of my reasons for devoting energy to building knowledge about & for tenant organizing👇🏾

According to Eviction Lab, Clark County Nevada has one of the highest eviction rates in the country. There have been 190,133 filings since March 2020, higher than some states’ totals. We can get to the root of this problem by increasing Southern NV’s federal housing vouchers.
