I am so incredibly proud of these students taking a stance and making a positive change in their community! 11x175 students are listening to experts in their fields and people in their City Island Community at the Teach In. Kids learning about fish populations in the LI Sound from a fishing boat captain. Kids are immersed in learning from all stakeholders. ⁦NYC District 11Community School District⁩

Our Robotics Teams from 5th and 7th grade did an amazing job at the District 11 Robotics Competition on May 28 at JHS144.  The 7th grade team won the Engineering Award and the 5th grade team won the Programming Wizard Award. June 1st, our 8th graders shared their work with the Living Shoreline at the Urban Advantage Student Symposium at the American Museum of Natural History.  They were real rockstars, especially giving up their Saturday to represent 175x Cris Vaughan NYC District 11Community School District NYC Public Schools
