Did you know more than half of our towns in the UK don’t have a widely shared vision for their place? Without strategic common goals to work towards, how can local economic & social partnerships expect to be effective?

If you are interested in supporting local businesses, check out today’s @thesundaytimes Business section front page - promoted content from VISA yes, but a good message nevertheless.

Great to see #Bexhill & #Hastings included in the new £20m funding stream created to help local communities develop & deliver town centre improvements. I’m currently working in Bexhill for the #HighStreetsTaskForce & know that this could make a real difference.

Looking forward to co-hosting a meeting of #Wealden vineyards & winemakers this week for Wealden District Council to help put #WinesofWealden on the map in 2024! Cheers to that!

Sorry to hear about the closure of Sussex Live local news website. 1 of a number of closures by Reach Media. Regional news is so hard to make profitable these days. Good luck to all the impacted staff.

Thank you Josh Babarinde OBE MP for raising this in Westminster. Coastal communities which rely on the visitor economy need this type of investment to stand still given the austerity forced on local councils. Without it, environmental & societal decline is inevitable.
