A delegation from the University of KwaZulu-Natal University of KZN paid a courtesy call to the Pro Vice-Chancellor (ASA) Gordon Awandare to forge collaborative partnerships and align efforts towards targeted internationalization.

The office of the Pro Vice-Chancellor (ASA) led by Gordon Awandare , Pro VC (ASA) of University of Ghana presented newly bought and potent security equipment to the UG Security Services on Friday, 2nd Feb 2024. This is towards the University’s hard efforts to ensure safety on it’s campus.
Pro Vice-Chancellor ASA, Gordon Awandare along with some Officers of University of Ghana welcomed a delegation from Federal University of Technology Owerri Nigeria. Both parties held discussions on potential collaborations in research, agriculture, alumni affairs and faculty exchanges.
The University of Ghana has formally partnered with The University of Manchester and signed an MoU that will guide international alliance in education and research. Gordon Awandare, Pro VC (ASA) and other University Officials signed the MoU for UG, as Prof. S. Flint, signed for University of Manchester.
H.E. Teferi F. Gossaye paid a visit to the Vice-Chancellor of University of Ghana, Nana Aba Appiah Amfo. Amongst the welcoming team was Gordon Awandare, Pro VC (ASA) and some officers of UG. The meeting held conversations on exploring possible connections between UG and AFLEX (African Leadership Excellence Academy (AFLEX)).
The management of University of Ghana led by VC, Prof. Nana Aba Appiah Amfo, Pro VC, Prof. Gordon Awandare, and Registrar, among others, commissioned the newly installed Electronic Access Control at the traditional halls and UGCS. This is in line with UG's efforts to ensure safety on its campus.
The University of Ghana held a memorial lecture, held in honor of the late Emeritus Prof. Kwame Gyekye, to commemorate his legacy and contributions to African academia, ethics and scholarship. The lecture was delivered by Prof. Martin Odei Ajei. Gracing the occasion was H.E Nana Akufo-Addo.
