Another productive work party in High Wood. We’ve blocked off an access point used by motorbikes that was causing soil erosion and damaging regen, and prepared ground for a scenic bench we’re installing a short walk from the entrance so people who aren’t as fit can enjoy the view

Everyone is welcome in High Wood, but to help different users find their trails the community volunteers have put up waymarkers showing which particular trails are for whomst. Some are shared, some are just for walkers, bikes, or horses. Enjoy yourselves out there!

Vaccinating badgers shows better reduction in bovine TB rates than badger culls. Amazing to see Cornish farmers, Cornwall Wildlife Trust 〓〓 Cornwall Badgers and ZSL all getting into the science. Now let’s hope Steve Reed MP considers this and pushed for more modern and humane policy.

We’ve finished budget planning for the upcoming planting season, and it’s looking positive. We’re doing 100,000 trees this year, doubling the work we’ve done in the last four years(!!), but cash flow is the tricky bit. Help us by sponsoring a trees now. protect.earth/donate

The next 100 people to follow us on Threads will get a free native British tree certificate. You’ll see what species was planted, and where, so can go visit it and see how the woodland is doing. threads.net/@protectearthu…

This is bad for farmers, bad for biodiversity, bad for climate targets, and completely unnecessary when the government could save £15bn scrapping damaging road schemes instead. theguardian.com/environment/ar…

Exciting news for people near Bath, we’re starting a new community woodland! Contribute to this crowdfunder, because if we can raise enough money to buy this 70 acres of disused farmland we can do our most amazing project yet! crowdfunder.co.uk/p/reforestatio…
