Baboon birthday announcement! This little one turned one on October 18. Her keepers tell us she is a very protective big sister to her half-brother and their mothers even let her babysit. She’s also a real daddy’s girl at heart!

Watch our Texas tortoise enjoying a delicious hibiscus flower! She is one of our ambassador animals who interact with guests in our education programs. Her normal diet is a mix of fresh greens, fruits, and vegetables. For enrichment, she enjoys special treats, like flowers.

Fennec foxes are the smallest foxes in the world! Their disproportionately large ears help to dissipate heat in their native Sahara desert, one of the hottest places on earth. They also help them to locate prey in the sand. Come and see them in the Hall of Animals!
