Day 2 of #ReadEmo24 is underway with an introduction from our chair Prof Nazanin Derakshan and an overview of yesterday's thought-provoking session.

This afternoon's proceedings at #ReadEmo24 start with a presentation by Nina Fuller-Shavel on integrative oncology, combining the best conventional cancer therapy with complementray evidenced-based approaches to empower individuals to live well with cancer.

Next up this afternoon at #ReadEmo24 is a short talk by Vida from the Institute of Cognitive Science Studies, Tehran Iran. She talks about cognitive factors that contribute to facilitating growth and resilience in cancer survivorship.

Our next short talk at #ReadEmo24 is from artist Angela El-Ziend. She uses story-telling as a way to explore emotions, build resilience, and empower the individual to share their experience of a breast cancer diagnosis, and not to be defined by it.

The final talk of #ReadEmo24 is fittingly given by Prof Nazanin Derakshan who organised and chaired this year's symposium. She discusses, as passionately as ever, the importance of building resilience in brain cancer survivorship, to empower people to live, not simply survive 🩷
