Central banks must stay independent. If politicians controlled monetary policy, they would lower interest rates, sooner or later, to gain short-term support, but fueling inflation, and hurting long-term economic stability.

Die neue Regierung will den #Mindestlohn auf 15 € anheben – weil es mehr Aufstocker gibt. Falsch gedacht. Wenn der Lohn nicht reicht, hilft das Sozialsystem. Löhne pauschal hochzuschrauben gefährdet Jobs, verzerrt Marktlogik und trifft kleine Betriebe. Was soll das #Linnemann

#Bundesregierung signalisiert, dass sie die Bombardierung #Irans richtig findet. Klar ist: Was Deutschland oder die EU sagen, beeinflusst die USA nicht – das hat Trump deutlich gemacht. Solche Aussagen bringen keinen Nutzen, aber riskieren Schaden. Für wen also sind sie gedacht?

Nationale Interessen stehen in #Konflikten oft im Widerspruch zum #Völkerrecht – ein echtes #Dilemma. Entscheidungen sind meist zwingend politisch, nicht rechtlich. Umso wichtiger sind Staaten, die vermitteln. Deutschland sollte diese Rolle als Drittstaat fortsetzen.

Statt #Schulsanierung aus dem regulären Haushalt zu zahlen, nutzt der Staat nun Schulden – wer will schon gegen Bildung sein? So werden konsumtive Ausgaben im Hintergrund kaschiert und die Schuldenbremse umgangen. Ein Schelm, wer Generationengerechtigkeit erwartet. Legt los.
