Relevant to #Immersion #NewBrunswickCanada professional development is how to solve problems. It is not an administrative fix, such as changing the schedule, etc. Invest in teachers’ professional development is the key variable to success.

In the last three days, six people have noticed and asked me about my accent while meeting them. “I was picking up on your accent.” I confess I have asked others that question. Now I realize how country🤠 I really am without traveling, how can we avoid being totally ethnocentric?

Now that Covid is over, every industry needs to get their act together and get back on their A game.

A Texas task force spent a year studying how to address the teacher vacancy crisis. Their recommendations? Increase pay significantly, improve benefits, enhance teacher prep, and respect teachers’ time.

No mention of merit pay.
