This afternoon, the Governing Board of Achimota School received a report from the Committee set up to develop criteria and guidelines for the naming of various facilities at the School. Akora Professor Ivan Addae-Mensah handed over the report to me as Chairman of the Board.

I am very grateful to the Prempeh College Old Students’ Association for inviting me to chair the 25th Annual Pearson/Osae Appreciation Lectures. They have had the courage to invite an Akora Chairman and Akora Speaker. We thank Amanfuo for bringing our schools together.

There is no bigger honour than your old school ‘rivals’ honouring you. I was made an Honorary Member of Amanfoɔ. I am proud of this as I am of Prempeh. I will work to support Achimota, Presec and Prempeh as much as possible. We look forward to a better future for Ghana’s schools.
