I paid $14 for this non-branded keystone jack punchdown tool from a seller in Queens. The same exact [mass produced] 'branded' versions are approx. 3x the price.

I'm realizing my use of an 8-port switch was/is bad idea. Very little room to build out system in future. I have this TP-Link 16-port unit coming in. Paid $45 NIB. That's 1/2 retail. Unmanaged, rack mountable, and fanless. Interesting but not surprising - device must be grounded.

'Chatter out there where #podcast listeners express zero tolerance for host mouth noises. To the point where when audible - listeners immediately tune out/move on. Listeners are unaware that some of us work hard to *remove* persistent (and preventable) noise. #podcastProduction

Not a major issue ➞ ➞ I think I would opt to power down arm located OnAir signal/light for video transmission/distribution. When I first saw this clip I found it to be a slight distraction. #podcastProduction

Over past few days I ran 3 conductor solid copper into closet where Fios ONT is located + installed convienient dedicated power outlet. Verizon states pulling ONT plug and reconnecting to new outlet is nothing more than a "reboot." Network config. will be retained. We'll see ...

Things are getting interesting here. I just bought 500 ft. of bulk Cat6 cable. I also mounted a 6U equipment rack on wall inside closet. 3/4" plywood into studs. Lag bolts into plywood to secure rack. I estimate the hanging weight of the populated rack will be approx. 35-40lbs.

Finished fabricating patch cables [patch panel to switch]. And I bought "Tool-less" compression RG-6 F-connectors. I was unaware of these. Supposedly there is an internal mechanism that compresses connector when it is initially screwed into a threaded receptacle. Indoor use only.

RJ45 [ethernet] keystone top view. Notice the holes at the right side. Use these to secure in coming cable with a small form factor cable-tie. It's a handy feature. Many keystones from various manufactureres lack this feature.

I'm just about done w/ network overhaul. All components now located in centralized closet in wall-mounted rack. This job took me out. Back is shot. Allot of work and planning. 400+ ft. new cat6 cable. All cables custom fabricated. I rewired the sloppy Verizon ONT installation.

Weak link in my network/rack overhaul is a years old Panamax that I had stored away. Great units. 6 rear outlets and front accessible reset. Excellent build quality. Last week I bought a backup for $35. Pristine condition. If my in-service unit ever fails I'm ready to swap out.

Original in- closet/surface mounted phone service jack probably circa 1980's. This was supplied by my building back in the day. I've never seen a circuit board with caps and additional components implemented in a phone jack ...

With regards to spoken word delivery, cadence, articulation, etc. - where do you stand on lack of emotion vs. over-embellishment? I would *consider* alerting client re: over-embellishment. It all depends on how receptive the client is to this type of feedback. #podcastProduction

Retro-looking splash screen is only noticeable difference in recently released Adobe Audition 2025. They say enhancements are under the hood. Makes no difference here. I'm versions behind. My work machine lacks compatibility for many of the recent "updates." #podcastProduction

As far as I can tell Adobe's #loudness meter still lacks a dialogue gate option. I wrote it up a year ago ... producenewmedia.com/ghost-netflix-… #podcastProduction
